A public celebration is held on Broadway Aug. 23 to honor the literary and theatrical career of the late Gore Vidal, who died July 31 at age 86. The event is held from noon to 1 PM at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, current home of the Tony-nominated revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man.
