The Mighty Theater is presenting the work directed by Allison C.E. Mitchell. It's part of TFTNC's Dream Up Festival. Performances began Aug. 19. The remaining performances are Aug. 22 at 6:30 PM, Aug. 23 at 9 PM and Aug. 24 at 6:30 PM.
Here's how the 40-minute amuse-bouche is billed: "To the horror of her regular clientele, Madame Tellier decides to shut down her successful brothel in order to travel back to her hometown to attend the confirmation of her niece. As she doesn't trust her 'girls' to stay in the house on their own, she brings them along to the tiny farming village where — fish out of water — they confront innocent children, family values, and the Catholic Church."
The cast includes Nathalie Stechysin, Patrick Pizzolorusso, Rebecca NV Zanes, Stuart Zanes, Joel Garland, Sean Hanley, Jim Cairl, Allison C.E. Mitchell and Merritt Weisenburger. Lauren Contard is the stage manager; Emily Graham is the lighting designer.
Theater for the New City is at 155 1st Ave.
