SaltSpeck Productions presents a showcase production of Christy Hall, Jeff Thomson and Jordan Mann's Madam Fury's Traveling Show Sept. 2-8 at the 45th Street Theatre (354 W. 45th Street).
Directed by Samantha Saltzman, the production features choreography by Kristen Beth Williams and musical direction by Aaron Jodoin.
The cast is led by Valerie Fagan as Madam Fury with Hollis Scarborough as Lillian, Kelvin Moon Loh as the Old Sage, Nikki MacCallum as Doppel, Sidney Erik Wright as Ganger, Doug Thompson as The Ringmaster, Jacob Hoffman as Thomas, Lindsay Morgan as the Countess of Circumference and Christopher deProphetis as Atlas.
The ensemble includes Jenny Paul, Brent McBeth, Amy Shure, Julia Menn and Dominic Sellers.
"Living with her mother on their farm in Oklahoma," press notes state, "Lillian's one wish is to find her absent father. With depression, desperation, and the Dust Bowl all around her, she finds herself transported from her 1930s life to the fantastical world of Madam Fury's Traveling Show, a magical circus in the dust. Amidst the curious characters, including the alluring, but mysterious namesake, Lillian must discover who her father truly was, who she is, and who she wants to become."
