Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien (The Coast of Utopia, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Hairspray) will direct the dark comedy that begins previews Nov. 3 towards a Nov. 29 opening.
Butz (Speed-The-Plow, Catch Me If You Can, Wicked) will portray prodigal son Jack, with Holmes ("Dawson's Creek," "Pieces of April," "The Ice Storm") as his sister Lorna. Houdyshell (Follies, Well) will portray their mother, with Greer ("The Descendants") in her Broadway debut as the wife of Butz's character. Hamilton was last seen on Broadway in The Coast of Utopia and will play a childhood friend.
The play had its world premiere last winter at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Additional creative duties will be announced.

Rebeck was a Pulitzer Prize finalist as the co-author of Omnium Gatherum. Her plays also include Bad Dates, The Scene and The Understudy and more. She has also authored the feature films "Harriet the Spy" and "Gossip," and earned a Peabody Award for "NYPD Blue." She is the creator of the NBC musical series "Smash."
