Lavin took to the stage on Sept. 17 with musical director Billy Stritch and a five-piece combo. The show is called Linda Lavin…Now. Expect what Lavin describes as "Brazilian songs and American standards that swing," including selections from her first CD "Possibilities," released last year by Ghostlight Records. Lavin will perform an encore performance on Sept. 23
Meanwhile, Jason Robert Brown performed at the venue Sept. 11-15 where audiences were treated to tunes from Brown's new musicals The Bridges of Madison County, Honeymoon in Vegas and his forthcoming CD, "Caravan of Angels," as well as classics from Songs for a New World, Parade, The Last Five Years, 13 and more. Shoshana Bean, who has been seen on Broadway in Wicked and Hairspray, was Brown's special guest.
Eden Espinosa, who has also starred on Broadway in Brooklyn and Rent in addition to Wicked, rounded out the week with her performance on Sept. 17 at 9:30 PM.
