Stage and screen actor Neil Patrick Harris, who stars in the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," will narrate the audiobook for "The Bro Codes for Parents: What to Expect When You're Awesome" as Barney Stinson, the role he plays on the aforementioned television series.
"The Bro Code" audiobook will be released for digital download as well as on CD Oct. 2 by Simon & Schuster.
Here's how the book is described on Amazon: "'Congratulations!' You're about to have a kid? Well, Bro, you might be asking yourself a series of important questions: Will I ever be able to do awesome things again? Will I be able to afford this? Can I ever have sex again? Will I be a good parent? Am I able to love this child as much as I love my own life? Can I ever have sex again? Well, the answer to all of these questions is a rock solid 'no.' But just because your life is now a petrifying turd on the canvas of life doesn’t mean your kid has to be as lame as you’re about to become. And Barney Stinson is here to help."
The book, co-authored by fictional character Barney Stinson and Matt Kuhn, a staff writer for "How I Met Your Mother," is available in paperback and digital formats.
Harris' Broadway credits include Assassins, Proof and Cabaret as well as the L.A. company of Rent, the Reprise! and New York Philharmonic productions of Company and Sweeney Todd and the London mounting of tick, tick...BOOM! Harris is also well known for his television work on "Doogie Howser, M.D." He has also hosted the Tony Awards three times.
