Following a digital release on Sept. 25, the original Broadway cast recording of Bring It On: The Musical, produced by Ghostlight Records and available on Back Lot Music, hits stores Oct. 16.

The cast recorded the album at MSR Studios in New York City on Aug. 9, 10 and 16 under the direction of album producers Alex Lacamoire, Tom Kitt and Kurt Deutsch.

Bring It On: The Musical, which plays The St. James Theatre, recently extended its run through Jan. 20, 2013.

Inspired by the "Bring It On" film, the Broadway musical features an original story by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty, music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, music by Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt, lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green and music supervision by Tony and Grammy Award winner Alex Lacamoire. The production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler.

Bring It On: The Musical, according to producers, tells the "story of the challenges and unexpected bonds formed through the thrill of extreme competition. With a colorful crew of characters, an exciting fresh sound and explosive dance with aerial stunts, this hilariously universal story is sure to be everything you hoped for and nothing like you expected."

PlaybillStore.com also offers numerous cast albums and theatre recordings.
