Playwright Ravetch will direct the comedy that officially opens Nov. 16 for an eight-week run through Jan. 5, 2013, at the NoHo Arts Center. The play has been developed at the Pasadena Playhouse Hot House Reading Series and the Ojai Playwrights Conference.
Here's how it's billed: "It's the aftermath of a plane crash and a brother and sister have survived, but all is not exactly what it might seem as we travel to unexpected places that take us from New York's MOMA, to the mountains of New Hampshire, from the past to the present in a play that unfolds like theatrical Origami in this funny and touching new play."
Swit starred on the television series "M*A*S*H*," and has appeared on stage in Mame, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Shirley Valentine and It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman.
One November Yankee will have set design by Dana Moran Williams, lighting design by Luke Moyer, sound design by Alex Robert Holmes and costume design by Ann Closs-Farley.
For tickets, priced $30, phone (818) 508-7101 or visit nohoartscenter.com. The NoHo Arts Center is located at 11136 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood, CA.
