The Westport Country Playhouse will offer staged readings of Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Bedroom Farce and Noël Coward’s bittersweet romance A Song at Twilight.

Presented as part of the "Script in Hand Series," Bedroom Farce will be presented Oct. 4 at 7 PM, and A Song at Twilight will be staged Nov. 15 at 7 PM. Anne Keefe curates the series.

Geneva Carr, Carson Elrod, Cecilia Hart, Karen Walsh, James Waterston and Paxton Whitehead will be part of Bedroom Farce. All of the actors have previously appeared in Westport's stagings of Ayckbourn's work in recent seasons. They will be joined by Mark Shanahan.

Casting for A Song at Twilight has not been announced.

According to Westport, "Bedroom Farce is about Trevor and Susannah, whose marriage is on the rocks. The pair inflicts their miseries on their nearest and dearest, three couples whose own relationships are tenuous at best. Taking place sequentially in the three beleaguered couples' bedrooms during one endless Saturday night of co-dependence and dysfunction, beds, tempers and domestic order are ruffled, leading all the players to a hilariously touching epiphany."
