Hoffman's biting take on the Dickens' tale, which is billed as a "pseudo-autobiographical, one-woman show inspired by Patrick Stewart's A Christmas Carol," will return on Chanukah Eve, Dec. 8 and will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 PM through Dec. 29.
A Chanukah Charol is directed by Michael Schiralli. Hoffman and Schiralli previously collaborated on Jackie Hoffman: Live from Joe's Pub, Scraping the Bottom for Chanukah and Jackie Five-Oh!
In A Chanukah Charol, Hoffman "is forced to examine her life when she is visited by the Ghosts of Chanukah Past, Present and Future, and even Molly Picon! What she finds on her quest for fame is that she is a dark desperate diva who would give Scrooge a run for his money."
