Robert O'Hara (The Brother/Sister Plays, Eclipsed) directs. Previews began Oct. 9 prior to an Oct. 23 opening. It was originally scheduled to close Nov. 11.
Wild With Happy was among several Public Theater productions forced to go dark the week of Oct. 29 when Hurricane Sandy struck the New York area, leaving the Public campus without power for several days. Performances resumed the evening of Nov. 3.
The Public also announced that all tickets for the remainder of the run can be purchased for $25 by using the code "Storm." Tickets were originally $75.
Actor-playwright Domingo (Scottsboro Boys, Passing Strange) portrays Gil, with Korey Jackson (Jamaica) as Terry, Maurice McRae ("24," "NYPD Blue") as Mo and Sharon Washington (Ths Scottsboro Boys) as Adelaide/Aunt Glo.
The production has scenic and costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, original music and sound design by Lindsay Jones and projection design by Aaron Rhyne.
Domingo has appeared on Broadway in Passing Strange, The Scottsboro Boys, Well and Chicago. He appeared at the Public in Passing Strange prior to its Broadway transfer. Most recently, he starred in Athol Fugard's Blood Knot Off-Broadway. He also wrote and starred in his solo autobiographical show A Boy and His Soul.
