The 10th anniversary concert, recorded at Royal Albert Hall in 1995, features Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean, Lea Salonga as Eponine, Judy Kuhn as Cosette, Michael Ball as Marius and Alun Armstrong as Thenardier alongside a 150-voice chorus and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The DVD of the concert, which has been remastered with 5.1 surround sound, includes never-before-seen interview footage with the creators of Les Misérables, producer Cameron Mackintosh, composer Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyricist Alain Boublil as well as the one-hour documentary "Stage by Stage – The Making of Les Mis," a 12-page commemorative booklet and a replica ticket from the 1995 London after-party.
In a nation in the grip of revolution, according to press notes, "convict Jean Valjean is on the run. Hunted by the policeman Javert for breaking his parole, Valjean must leave his past behind and keep his vow to raise the young orphan Cosette. But with revolution in the air and Javert closing in, Jean Valjean has no choice but to fight for his life and sacrifice everything for the people he loves. Watch and listen time and again to the magnificent, Tony Award-winning score as sung by stars forever linked with these roles."
