Tour of Superstar to Return in March, with Tim Minchin, Melanie C, Chris Moyles, Alex Hanson and Ben Forster

The recent U.K. arena tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar, marking the show's 40th anniversary, is to be reprised in March 2013, with Tim Minchin, Melanie C, Chris Moyles, Alexander Hanson and Ben Forster returning as Judas, Mary Magdalene, King Herod, Pontius Pilate and Jesus Christ, respectively.

It will begin performances at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena March 10, then visit London (O2 Arena, March 13), Liverpool (Echo Arena, March 15), Cardiff (Motorpoint Arena, March 17), Manchester (Arena, March 24), Newcastle (Metro Arena, March 26) and Birmingham (NIA, March 28).

In a press statement, Andrew Lloyd Webber commented, "Last year's tour was the first-ever UK arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and it surpassed our expectations. The response from audiences across the UK and Ireland was overwhelming and the show was everything I had hoped for. It's great news that fans will have a final chance to see the show with the original arena tour cast of Tim Minchin, Mel C, Chris Moyles, Ben Forster and Alex Hanson."

The Jesus Christ Superstar arena tour is a co-production between AEG Live, and Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Really Useful Group.
