David Alpert (Best Man, Flashdance, Talley's Folly, Trip to Bountiful) conceived and directs the 7 PM concert that features a live band. Back to the Drawing Board promises a line-up of Broadway actors performing favorite songs from animated films. Jason Wetzel is musical director.
Living for Today was originally set to take place Oct. 28, 2012, but Hurricane Sandy forced the presenters to postpone the concert. Organizers previously released the following statement to Playbill.com: "For those ticket holders who had purchased tickets to the originally scheduled date of Oct. 28, make sure to call Joe's Pub to confirm your seats are still being held. If you are unable to attend, please call Joe's Pub to release your seats."
Also scheduled to perform are Michael Potts (Book of Mormon, Grey Gardens), Tituss Burgess ("30 Rock," Jersey Boys), David R. Gordon (Flashdance), Autumn Hurlbert (Legally Blonde, Little Women), Tess Soltau (Addams Family, Into the Woods), Hannah Elless (Godspell), Tony Yazbeck ("Smash," Chicago, Gypsy), Steve Rosen (Spamalot, Guys & Dolls), Courtney Reed (In the Heights, Mamma Mia!, Aladdin), Cassandra Sandberg, Rheaume Crenshaw and the men of "Shubert Alley" (Jamison Scott, Patrick Massey and Kevin Massey).
Tickets are priced $20 and $75 (VIP with premium seating, post-show reception and gift bag). There is a $12 food and drink minimum; reservations are encouraged. Visit JoesPub. Joe's Pub is located within The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
