Billed as "an evening of love and romance," the 8 PM concert will feature the work of Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, Oscar Hammerstein, Lorenz Hart, Leonard Bernstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Musical director is Joseph Thalken.
Rebecca Luker, most recently on Broadway in Mary Poppins, earned Tony nominations for her performance in the aforementioned Disney-Cameron Mackintosh musical as well as Show Boat and The Music Man. She has also been seen on Broadway in Nine, The Sound of Music, The Secret Garden and The Phantom of the Opera. Luker also appeared with Michael Cerveris and Judy Kuhn in the Kennedy Center production of Stephen Sondheim's Passion.
A Tony Award nominee for his performances in Anything Goes and The Mystery of Edwin Drood, McGillin has also appeared on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera, Kiss of the Spider Woman, She Loves Me, The Secret Garden and Sunday in the Park with George. On the London stage he starred in Mack and Mabel, and his solo recording is titled "Howard McGillin: Where Time Stands Still." McGillin also starred in the Chicago and D.C. productions of Sondheim and John Weidman's Bounce.
