"In this 1927 musical farce, the owner of the Fletcher American Cheese Co. has convinced the U.S. government to declare war on Switzerland, who has protested our tariff on imported cheese," according to Musicals Tonight. Songs include "Fletcher's American Cheese Choral Society," "I Mean to Say," "Soon," "Three Cheers for the Union," "He Knows Milk," "Strike Up the Band," "Mademoiselle from New Rochelle," "I've Got a Crush on You" and "(How About a Boy) Like Me?"
Same Time, Next Year – The Musical will run April 2-14 under the direction of Sabella-Mills with David B. Bishop as musical director. It has a score by Emmy winner Stan Daniels and a book by Bernard Slade.
"George and Doris meet in Napa Valley in 1951 and have a one night 'affair.' Although they return to and continue to love their respective spouses, they feel so strongly about one another that they arrange to meet once a year (at the same time). Over 24 years we see each 'evolve' - at different rates and in different ways," Musicals Tonight states. Songs include "I Love You – I Think," "Every Time I See You," "Everyone Yearns for Romance," "Adultery," "High School Graduate" and "What a Wonderful Guy I Must Be."
Also presented will be Leave It to Jane, with music by Jerome Kern and book any lyrics by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse. Sabella-Mills will direct the April 16-28 run that will have musical direction by Stenborg.
According to Musicals Tonight, "The story is about a star halfback who forsakes his father's alma mater, Bingham, to play for their rival – Atwater – in order to be near the girl he loves, Jane, who is the daughter of Atwater's President." It features the songs "Good Old Atwater," "Watch My Step," "Leave It to Jane," "Crickets Are Calling," "Cleopatterer," "The Days of Chivalry," "Siren's Song" and "I'm Going to Find a Girl."
