Elder, who starred in Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde, and Hudock, who appeared in the film "Private Romeo," will play estranged brothers Malky and Doug in the work, which will be directed by Ross Evans (Venus in Fur; Mary Mill Directing Fellowship from Manhattan Theatre Club).
As previously reported, Room at the End of the Hall is aiming for a world-premiere prodution in New York in 2013.
Room at the End of the Hall, according to press notes, "tells the story of estranged twin brothers on the final night of their desperate search for a valuable family relic of the past. Doug, a guarded family man, enlists the help of his brother, Malky, to find a priceless heirloom hidden deep within their childhood home. But as they search, Doug must face both his haunted past and his brother, who may not be so insane after all."
"Through an exciting workshop and play development process over the past five years, Room at the End of the Hall has consistently proven to be a masterful tour-de-force of theatre," said producer and star Hudock in an earlier statement.
The Room at the End of the Hall production team is funding the project through Indiegogo.
The creative team includes stage manager Kathy Snyder, creative producer Hudock, associate producer Kaitlin Paul and creative consultant Chris Vongsawat.
Playwright Natale is a Newington-Cropsey Fellowship recipient. His other works include an adaptation of Great Expectations and Smoke Signals.
