Elizabeth Taylor, Academy Award-winning movie star and glamour icon, was born on this day in 1932. She died March 23, 2011, at the age of 79. Playbill.com takes a look back at Taylor's two Broadway performances: Noel Coward's Private Lives, opposite ex-husband Richard Burton, and Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes.



Taylor appeared twice on the Broadway stage, both in the early 1980s. She made her Broadway debut in Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Austin Pendleton.

She returned in a 1983 staging of Noel Coward's Private Lives, playing opposite real-life ex-husband Richard Burton.
