A book signing for Rita Moreno's "Rita Moreno: A Memoir" will be held March 5 at the Barnes & Noble on East 86th Street.
The 7 PM-9 PM event will feature a conversation with Moreno and Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda.
In her new memoir, press notes state, "Moreno shares her remarkable story for the first time. With candor, humor, and real insight, Moreno opens up about her tumultuous childhood, her career rise from 'utility ethnic' to award-winning star, her explosive romance with Marlon Brando (and less than explosive romance with Elvis Presley), the ups and downs of her relationships and career, and finally finding peace with herself, her 'otherness,' her choices, and her life."
Barnes and Noble Upper East Side is located at 150 E. 86th Street (86th and Lexington).
Moreno is of the few artists to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
