The limited engagement will run four performances only at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre beginning March 31.
In Another Medea, according to press notes, "we meet the incarcerated Marcus Sharp, a one time New York actor who recounts in gruesome detail how his obsessions with a man named Jason and the myth of Medea lead to horrific, unspeakable events." Writer-director Mark describes the 80-minute monologue as "Grand Guignol horror in the style of Spalding Gray."
In addition to his Tony-nominated turn in The Rocky Horror Show, Tom Hewitt's other Broadway credits include Jesus Christ Superstar; Chicago; Dracula, The Musical; The Boys from Syracuse; The Lion King; School for Scandal; and The Sisters Rosensweig. He also appeared in the national tours of Urinetown and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and has been seen Off-Broadway in Jeffrey, Beau Jest, Richard III and Othello. Read more about him in the Playbill Vault.
Performances are scheduled for March 31 at 9:30 PM, April 1 at 9:30 PM, April 7 at 4 PM and April 9 at 9:30 PM.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, plus a two-drink minimum, and can be purchased at anothermedea.brownpapertickets.com.
