Corbin Bleu, who was last seen on Broadway in the revival of Godspell, has joined the cast of the "One Life to Live" soap revival, according to Deadline.com.
The actor, who also starred in Broadway's In the Heights, will play Jeffrey King, a young reporter friend of Matthew Buchanan (Robert Gorrie) and Danielle Manning (Kelley Missal) who works for Victoria Lord (Erica Slezak).
Production for "One Life to Live" will begin March 18; the series will debut April 29 via Prospect Park's The Online Network, streaming online on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and available on iTunes.
Bleu joins a cast that includes Melissa Archer (Natalie Buchanan Banks), Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), Gorrie (Matthew Buchanan), Laura Harrier (Destiny Evans), Roger Howarth (Todd Manning), Josh Kelly (Cutter Wentworth), Florencia Lozano (Tea Delgado), Missal (Danielle Manning), Slezak (Victoria Lord), Hillary B. Smith (Nora Buchanan), Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), Andrew Trischitta (Jack Manning), Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan), Tuc Watkins (David Vickers), Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan) and Shenaz Treasury (Rama Patel).
Bleu became an international name as Chad Danforth in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical," its sequel "High School Musical 2" (the highest-rated Disney Channel Original Movie in history and overall highest-rated program in cable history), and the 2008 feature film "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." Bleu was also seen on the CW's "The Beautiful Life" starring opposite Elle Macpherson, Mischa Barton and Sara Paxton.
