Broadway Backwards, the annual concert celebration in which great musical-theatre songs are reinterpreted by Broadway performers through a lens that blurs gender and sexuality, offered its eighth installment March 18 at Broadway's Palace Theatre. It featured Estelle Parsons, Jan Maxwell, Victor Garber, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Stephanie J. Block, Judy Kaye and more. Here, performers Kyle Dean Massey and Robert Creighton previewed the show with Broadway Backwards creator Robert Bartley, who directed and choreographed. Proceeds go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.
