Maltz Jupiter Theatre and Paper Mill Playhouse join forces to offer a co-production of the Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Brian Padgett, a company member in the Maltz run, documented the rehearsal and tech process leading up to opening night.
The company also includes Ashley Kate Adams as Miss Dorothy Brown, Billy Bustamante as Bun Foo, James Seol as Ching Ho and Jessica Sheridan as Miss Flannery.
Carleigh Bettiol, Craig Blake, Barry Busby, Darien Crago, Patch David, Ian DeVine, Charlie Johnson, Ian Liberto, Sarah Meahl, Lizzy Palmer, Kristyn Pope, Kelly Skidmore, Amy Van Norstrand and John T. Wolfe round out the ensemble.
Based on the 1967 film of the same name, Thoroughly Modern Millie, according to press notes, "tells the story of a small-town girl who travels to New York City to marry for money instead of love."
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
