The show, which was previously recorded, was hosted by Michael Ball and featured the world premiere of "Theme from Stephen Ward," from Lloyd Webber's latest musical now in development, performed by classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić.
Ball performed the show's finale "Love Changes Everything" with Il Divo and pupils from London's Highbury Grove School. Lloyd Webber visited the school last year to commend the once-failing school for putting music at the core of its curriculum and inspiring a new generation to fulfill their potential and enjoy the arts.
The concert also included appearances by Nicole Scherzinger, Sierra Boggess, Denise van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Melanie C, Myleene Klass, Il Divo and Tim Minchin who performed songs from such shows as Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar and Tell Me On A Sunday.
Friends including Sir Michael Caine, Sir Alex Ferguson and Simon Cowell shared their insights into the man behind the music.
