A Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch, which will be presented May 14-15, will feature the talents of Tony winner Donna McKechnie as well as Jodi Benson and Douglas La Brecque. Attendees can expect to hear tunes from A Chorus Line and music from Hamlisch's Oscar-winning score to "The Way We Were."
"Smash" and Broadway star Megan Hilty will perform May 23-24. The actress, who has been seen on Broadway in Wicked and 9 to 5: The Musical, will offer original songs from "Smash," including “Second Hand Baby Grand” and “Movin the Line” as well as tunes from her Broadway repertoire. The first half of the program will feature Lockhart and the Boston Pops in selections that celebrate the passion of the silver screen. The Boston Cello Quartet, made up of four members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (also members of the Boston Pops), will also present a medley of James Bond themes arranged for four cellos and orchestra.
On May 28-29 "Glee" and Broadway actor Matthew Morrison will offer evenings of song and dance. Audiences will be treated to such tunes as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Singing in the Rain” and “The Lady Is a Tramp,” all featured on Morrison’s new album “Where It All Began,” which will be released June 4.
