It is directed by Marianne Elliott, who previously directed Numrich in the original Broadway cast of War Horse, in which he played Albert Narracott. He was most recently seen on Broadway in Lincoln Center Theater's production of Golden Boy, and he was also seen as Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice opposite Al Pacino in the title role. His Off-Broadway credits include productions at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, LCT3, Signature Theatre, Rising Phoenix Rep, 59E59 and LABryinth. Regionally he has appeared at the Ahmanson in Los Angeles, Seattle Rep, Chautauqua Theater Co. and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. His TV credits include "Gravity," "The Good Wife" and the forthcoming "Turn."
They are joined by Owen Roe, Brid Brennan. Charles Aitken, Michael Begley, Daniel Betts, Ruari Cannon, Emily De Cosimo, Louise Dylan, Kurt Kansley, Sean McConaghy, Katie Meekison, Bryonie Pritchard, Lucy Robinson, Violet Ryder, Ryan Saunders, Alistair Scott, Anthony Taylor, Joe Townley, John Trindle and David Webber.
In the play, fading Hollywood legend Alexandra Del Lago (Cattrall) flees the disastrous premiere of her comeback film. Traveling incognito, she seeks refuge in drink and drugs and the arms of Chance Wayne (Numrich), an idealistic young dreamer turned gigolo, hellbent on achieving his own movie stardom. A trip to Chance's hometown in a bid to win back his childhood sweetheart sees their relationship of convenience unravel in Tennessee Williams' portrait of the destruction of dreams.
