Tad Quill's multi-camera project will be directed by James Burrows and centers on Jack (Broderick), a recently widowed father who is raising his 12-year-old son and jumping back into the dating pool. Chenoweth will play Marnie, Jack's judgmental sister who works as a waitress.
Broderick, who currently stars as Jimmy Winter in Broadway's Nice Work If You Can Get It, took home Tony Awards for his performances in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Brighton Beach Memoirs. He was Tony-nominated for his performance in The Producers.
Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance in Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. The Emmy-winning actress is also known for her film and television work and was recently seen in the ABC series "GCB."
Quill's pilot will mark her return to CBS since her injury on the set of "The Good Wife."
