The juke-box musical, which includes songs by Tina Turner, The Village People, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Donna Summer, is adapted from the film "The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert." Priscilla will play Las Vegas through Aug. 18. Tickets range $74.40-$173.40. An official press opening has been set for June 20.
The cast is headed by Wade McCollum (Tick/Mitzi), Scott Willis (Bernadette) and Bryan West (Adam/Felicia) as the "trio of friends, on a road trip of a lifetime, who hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of the Australian outback and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed."
With over 500 Tony Award-winning costumes, Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical features over 20 dance-floor favorites including “It's Raining Men,” “Finally” and “I Will Survive.” The musical opened on Broadway March 20, 2011, and played its final performance June 24, 2012, after 23 previews and 526 performances.
The show has musical supervision and arrangements by Stephen "Spud" Murphy, set design by Brian Thomson, costumes by Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner, lighting design by Nick Schlieper, sound design by Jonathan Deans and Peter Fitzgerald, and make-up design by Cassie Hanlon.
