As first reported by Playbill.com, Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, who originated the role of Norma Desmond in the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard, recently revisited material from that musical during a London concert engagement.
Playbill writer and LuPone's musical partner for the evening, Seth Rudetsky, detailed the night LuPone performed "With One Look" – Norma's sweeping Act One ballad – for Playbill.com.
"It was very emotional for her to sing it again," Rudetsky wrote. "She started singing and stopped after four beats to collect herself. She started again and NAILED IT. So beautiful, so moving and the final D was AMAZING!!!!!!"
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
