Jennifer Ashley Tepper, the young producer and theatre historian who has presented the popular If It Only Even Runs A Minute concert series and the works of songwriter Joe Iconis, has been named the new director of programming at the music venue 54 Below.
Tepper will oversee artist programming and create original concerts to play the posh venue, which opened in summer 2012 with Patti LuPone as the headliner. Phil Geoffrey Bond, who has been the director of programming since 54 Below opened, will assume the newly created title of director of original programming.
"I'm so incredibly excited," Tepper told Playbill.com. "I've been in love with 54 Below since the first time I set foot there, and I'm so thrilled to be joining their team."
Tepper recently hosted the first Broadway Trivia Night at 54 Below, which invited audiences to test their knowledge of the ins-and-outs of Broadway. The event played to a packed house.
54 Below also announced that it will augment its current programming to include a new interview series, a new musicals-in-concert series (following the success of the club's wildly successful High Fidelity in Concert event) and a program for new composers.
