"This irreverent yet affectionate cabaret explores the life of much-loved star Dame Julie Andrews, and her relationship with her adoring fans," press notes state. "Award-winning singer, West End actress and Fascinating Aida star Sarah-Louise Young intertwines Julie's songs from musicals including 'Mary Poppins,' 'The Sound of Music' and My Fair Lady with stories and anecdotes, from her beginnings as a child star to the challenges of losing her singing voice. What emerges is a candid love letter to a true show business survivor."
Young's stage credits include Cabaret Whore and Cabaret Whore Encore! as well as Fascinating Aïda. She is a member of musical comedy improv troupe The Showstoppers.
Written by Young, Julie Madly Deeply is directed by Russell Lucas and features musical direction by Michael Roulston.
Oscar winner Andrews has starred on Broadway in The Boy Friend, My Fair Lady, Camelot and Victor/Victoria. Her motion picture credits include "The Sound of Music," "Mary Poppins" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie."
