Their current production and investment slate includes the Broadway transfer of the Globe's productions of Richard III and Twelfth Night, the U.S. tour of Evita, the imminent West End opening of Mojo at the Harold Pinter Theatre, the London transfer of In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) to the St. James Theatre in December, and the forthcoming U.K. tour of Shrek the Musical.
In a joint press statement, Blanshay and Lake commented, "We have individually enjoyed years of involvement in financing and co-producing unique and acclaimed work in the UK and US. Our plan for the future with Glass Half Full Productions is not only to finance projects, but to develop new projects of our own. Our mandate is such that we are open to all forms of straight drama, and musical comedy, and will be actively looking for these great works."
Blanshay's current and past Broadway projects include Bullets Over Broadway, Twelfth Night/Richard III, Kinky Boots, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Jerusalem, Catch Me If You Can, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and The Scottsboro Boys, while in the West End, he has been involved in Chimerica, The Ladykillers, Merrily We Roll Along, A Chorus Line, Old Times, A Chorus of Disapproval, Richard III/Twelfth Night and Abigail's Party.
Lake, who is chairman of the board of New York's The Active Theater Company, started as a theatre angel backing several Broadway shows including Bullets Over Broadway, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jerusalem and Catch Me If You Can. Since returning home to London in 2012, he has been actively involved in financing and developing the West End productions of Abigail’s Party, A Chorus Of Disapproval, Twelfth Night/Richard III, Old Times, The Audience, Book of Mormon, Merrily We Roll Along, The Ladykillers, A Doll's House and Chimerica.
