The Verdict: Critics Review Off-Broadway's Romeo and Juliet, Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Julian Cihi

The Classic Stage Company production of Romeo and Juliet, starring Julian Cihi and Elizabeth Olsen in the respective title roles, officially opened Oct. 16 Off-Broadway.

Directed by Tea Alagić, CSC's is the second major production of Romeo and Juliet currently available to New York audiences. A starry Broadway revival, with Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad, opened Sept. 19.

Along with Olsen (Impressionism) and Cihi (The Importance of Being EarnestA Month in the Country), the cast includes Daniel Davis (La Cage aux Folles, "The Nanny") as Friar Laurence, Emmy Award nominee T.R. Knight (A Life in the Theatre, Tartuffeas Mercutio and two-time Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent, Anna in the Tropics) as the Nurse.
