"It's a Fine Life": David Garrison Is Fagin in Paper Mill Oliver! Beginning Nov. 21

The Paper Mill Playhouse production of Lionel Bart's family-friendly musical Oliver! begins previews at the New Jersey venue Nov. 21.

Helmed by artistic director Mark S. Hoebee with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, the production will officially open Dec. 1. Performances continue through Dec. 29.

The cast features David Garrison (Fagin), Betsy Morgan (Nancy), John Treacy Egan (Mr. Bumble), Jose Llana (Bill Sikes), David Hess (Mr. Brownlow), Ethan Haberfield (Artful Dodger) and Tyler Moran as Oliver with Kristen Smith Davis (Bet), Michael Di Liberto (Mr. Sowerberry), Dierdre Friel (Mrs. Sowerberry), Juliane Godfrey (Charlotte), Barbara Marineau (Mrs. Bedwin), Jeremy Morse (Noah) and Jessica Sheridan.

Rounding out the ensemble are Adrian Arrieta, Kate Bailey, Casey Beidel, Monica Bradley, Stephen Mitchell Brown, Casey Erin Clark, Will Flamm, Kyle Garvin, Matthew Hooper, Devin Johnson, Mary Claire King, Hunter Kovacs, Jimmy Larkin, George Merrick, Sarah M. O'Connor, Patrick O'Neill, PJ Palmer, Jason Pintar, Jeff Sullivan, Bronwyn Tarboton, Joseph Torello and Joseph C. Townsend.



The locally-cast Workhouse Boys include Bobby Axelrod (Montclair, NJ), Luke Berninger (Wayne, NJ), Jake Cedar (Haddonfield, NJ), James Freedson-Jackson (South Orange, NJ), Chance Friedman (Basking Ridge, NJ), Lucas Imhoff (Madison, NJ), Jeffrey Kishinevskiy (Tenafly, NJ), Colton Maurer (Mahwah, NJ), Tyler Pelton (East Brunswick, NJ), Jake Walsh (Wall, NJ), Arthur Wawrzyniak (Morristown, NJ) and twin brothers Lee Rosenthal and Ryan Rosenthal (Cranford, NJ).

Adapted from the novel by Charles Dickens, the musical, according to press notes, tells the "miraculous tale of a young orphan's quest to find home and family in Victorian London." Song titles include "Food, Glorious Food," "Who Will Buy?," "As Long As He Needs Me" and "Consider Yourself."

The creative team also includes music director Craig Barna, costume designer Amanda Seymour, lighting designer F. Mitchell Dana, sound designer Randy Hansen, hair and wig designer Leah J. Loukas, set coordinator Timothy R. Mackabee, fight choreographer, dialect coach Shane Ann Younts, scenic designer Mark Morton and production stage manager Andrea Cibelli.
