The performance will also feature Ambra Caserotti, Robbie Durham, Greg Oliver and Jennifer Potts. The directors are Bo Boland, Sarah Henley and TIm O'Hara, with musical direction by Joe Louis Robinson and choreography by Kamilah Beckles.
In a press statement, Allen-Martin commented that the ambition of the company she founded and now runs with Sarah Page is to stage, "theatre that represents our generation. With characters that we recognise, in ourselves or in those around us, who speak our language, talk lie we do and face issues we face, with songs that sound like the music we download. 'Musical theatre' makes some people switch off, they think it's dated and that it doesn't represent them and we want to change that, we're not about alienating theatre lovers, we're theatre lovers, but we believe there is space for change, and we want to bring a new audience into the theatre too."
Interval so Far will feature scenes from the original musicals After The Turn (with book by Sarah Henley and songs by Tim Prottey-Jones), Another Way (with songs by Benedict and book by Allen-Martin and Sarah Henley) and Streets (with songs by Finn Anderson and book by Allen-Martin and Sarah Henley), as well as vocal selections from Jonathan Larson's Rent that the company has also produced.
