"We are so overjoyed to usher in 2014 with Neil Patrick Harris," Drama League executive director Gabriel Shanks said in a statement. "But to have our dear friend Whoopi Goldberg as our host and the amazing assemblage of talent on stage is a wealth of riches. This year's event is going to be legendary."
Harris will star on Broadway in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, beginning performances March 29. He has also performed on Broadway in Assassins and in the New York Philharmonic production of Company. Harris has been honored with four Emmy Awards: three for his acclaimed hosting of the Tony Awards and another for his guest-starring role on "Glee."
