The Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriters You Should Know: LIVE!, a concert featuring rising musical theatre songwriters that is based on the Playbill.com feature of the same name, will be held Jan. 27 at the Manhattan nightspot 54 Below. In anticipation of the concert, Playbill.com looks at music by the rising songwriters.

Hosted by Playbill staff writer Michael Gioia, author of the ongoing column that premiered on Playbill.com in October 2012, concerts — in which each songwriter or composing team will debut a world-premiere song — will be offered at 7 PM and 9:30 PM.

For more information on the concerts, click here.

Here is a look at some of our favorite songs by the writers featured in Part Two of the column — Katie Thompson, Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Joe Iconis, Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, Adam Gwon and Deborah Abramson.
