A host of theatre favorites will be part of Broadway Salutes Community Theater, a fundraiser for Brooklyn Players Community Musical Theater, which will be presented Jan. 26 at the Laurie Beechman Theater.
The artists will sing songs that harken back to their days in community/youth theatre. A preview from BPCMT's upcoming spring production of Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Broadway's Valerie Wright, will also be performed.
Longtime Brooklyn children’s theatre producer and director Corinne Goodman started BPCMT in fall 2010. Goodman founded BPCMT "to create a home for diverse casts of older teens and adults who love theater and love performing in musical theater productions."
The Laurie Beechman Theater is located at 407 West 42nd Street. Doors open at 6 PM for dinner and drinks. Tickets are $25 and are available by visiting https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/9879096. There is also a $15 food/drink minimum.
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
