"The Ensemblist," according to press notes, "is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer — from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you're an experienced theatre professional or just a passionate fan, 'The Ensemblist' gives listeners the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of Broadway."
The "Married Couples" episode features interviews with married Broadway actors Kat Nejat (West Side Story, Lysistrata Jones) and Ben Thompson (American Idiot, Matilda), and Megan Sikora (42nd Street, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Barrett Martin (Urban Cowboy, Wicked).
According to press notes, "They talk about sharing life with another person in the Broadway community: from fateful meetings during put-in rehearsals to working in separate cities to weddings filled fellow cast members, the four guests share the thrills and challenges of being married to another performer. Additionally, co-creators and hosts Brady and Lanzarone share their own stories of years of long distance relationships with their partners."
Upcoming episodes will examine what it takes to be a dance captain for a Broadway show and interview actors who have performed in the same show for more than two years.
