Krieger was Tony-nominated for the scores to Dreamgirls (co-written with Tom Eyen) and Side Show (co-written with Bill Russell). His musicals also include The Tap Dance Kid and Lucky Duck. Krieger garnered Academy Award nominations for the songs "Listen," "Love You I Do" and "Patience" for the film adaptation of "Dreamgirls." He earned a Grammy Award for the song "Love You I Do."
