"Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence recently said he is developing a musical for Broadway.

"Scrubs" ran on NBC for seven years before airing on ABC for its final two seasons. The Emmy Award-winning medical comedy-drama, which followed employees at the teaching hospital Sacred Heart, starred Zach Braff (Bullets Over Broadway, Trust), John C. McGinley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Requiem For a Heavyweight), Ken Jenkins (Big River, "I Am Sam") and Sarah Chalke ("How I Met Your Mother," "Rick and Morty").

A musical episode of the show  — guest-starring Avenue Q Tony nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo as a Sacred Heart patient — premiered Jan. 18, 2007.

"My Musical," which was penned by "Scrubs" supervising producer Debra Fordham, featured songs by Tony Award-winning Avenue Q composers Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx. Other tunes were written by Fordham, Jan Stevens and Paul Perry.
