Molnar's Liliom, the classic play that inspired Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein's musical Carousel, opened on Broadway in 1921 and starred Eva Le Gallienne. It was revived 11 years later, but has not seen a full production in New York City since.

A portion of proceeds raised from this production benefit Safe Horizon, the largest victims’ services agency in the United States, touching the lives of more than 250,000 children, adults and families affected by abuse throughout New York City each year.

The production plays The Celebration of Whimsy (formerly The Living Theatre) Wednesday-Saturday at 7 PM with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM. The run will conclude March 9.

The Celebration of Whimsy is located at 21 Clinton Street. Tickets (priced $20-25) are available by clicking here.
