L.A. Theatre Works will present Sharr White's The Other Place, the critically acclaimed drama seen on Broadway with Laurie Metcalf, March 13-16 at the James Bridges Theater at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
The psychological thriller is described as such: "Juliana Smithton is a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband has filed for divorce, her daughter has eloped with a much older man and her own health is in jeopardy — but nothing is as it seems. Piece by piece, a mystery unfolds as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface."
The Other Place is part of L.A. Theatre Works’ Relativity Series, featuring science-themed plays.
Performances are recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theatre series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
Susan A. Loewenberg produces.
Performances are scheduled for March 13-14 at 8 PM, March 15 at 3 PM and 8 PM and March 16 at 4 PM.
