Playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney, whose production of Antony and Cleopatra currently plays The Public Theater, will sit with director Kwame Kwei-Armah for a free March 8 discussion to be held at Joe's Pub.
Presented as part of The Artists Exchange, the free 12 PM event will center on "McCraney’s creative process in directing Antony and Cleopatra, Kwei-Armah's experience as a British artist working in the United States, and the state of transatlantic collaboration as a whole."
It is presented by the Public Theater and the British Council. The event will also be live-streamed via howlround.tv.
Antony and Cleopatra, directed and edited by McCraney, will officially open March 5 at the Public Theater. Jonathan Cake and Joaquina Kalukango star in the staging that features a cast of U.K. and American actors.
