Aimed at early- to mid-career artists in the fields of theatre, dance, music and visual arts, "Next Stage" will continue on a yearly basis, featuring artists moderating and speaking at the events. Four evenings are scheduled for this season.
The March 13 event is moderated by Jed Bernstein, president of Lincoln Center.
Three-time Tony Award winner O'Brien's directing credits include The Coast of Utopia, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Henry IV, Hairspray and The Full Monty. He served as the artistic director of The Old Globe Theatre from 1981-2007. He most recently directed a revival of Macbeth, starring Ethan Hawke.

May 2: Dance
Moderator: Virginia Johnson, artistic director of Dance Theatre of Harlem
Partner: Dance/NYC (Lane Harwell, Executive Director)
May 30: Music
Moderator: Midori, violinist
Partner: New York Philharmonic (Theodore Wiprud, Vice President, Education)
June 10: Visual Arts
Moderator: Andrew Goldstein, editor-in-chief of Artspace
All events in the series take place at 6 PM in the Clark Studio Theater, located on the seventh floor of the Samuel B. and David Rose Building at Lincoln Center, 65th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
