The Acting Company presents a staged reading of Harvey Granville-Barker's The Voysey Inheritance April 7 at 7 PM at the Mainstage Theater at Playwright’s Horizons.

The reading features the talents of Dakin Matthews, Fred Arsenault, David Manis, Spencer Aste, Andrew Weems, Diane Kagan, Gretchen Hall, Trent Dawson, Juliet Brett, T.J. Edwards and Diana LaMar.

The performance will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, longtime CenterStage artistic director Irene Lewis.

“We are fortunate to have Irene Lewis directing; audiences still remember her wonderful production last year of Stage Door. Now she turns her attention to Harley Granville-Barker’s highly principled family whose world turns upside down when they discover their father’s business has been defrauding clients for years,” said Margot Harley, producer of The Acting Company, in a previous statement. “Granville-Barker was one of the most versatile figures in twentieth century theater as an actor, playwright and director. His last career as a critic opened new interpretations of Shakespeare and led to the establishment of a national theater in England.”

Mainstage Theater at Playwrights Horizons is located at 416 West 42nd Street (9th and 10th). For tickets, priced $35 and $60 (Patron), call (212) 258-3111.
