TCM and getTV Will Honor Mickey Rooney With Movie Marathons

Mickey Rooney, the prolific actor who died April 6 at the age of 93, will be honored by Turner Classic Movies with a 13-film marathon April 13, Deadline.com reports.



Rooney will also be recognized by getTV, who had previously scheduled three films that featured Rooney, and has re-themed them in remembrance of the actor, running April 7.

Rooney, who frequently co-starred with Judy Garland in numerous movie musicals, also starred in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Boy Town," "Babes in Arms" and "National Velvet" during his lengthy career.
