The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Tony Award winner Betty Buckley will present Story Songs IV, a benefit concert featuring participants of Buckley's Spring Song Interpretation Workshop, June 3 at 7:30 PM at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Throughout the past few months award-winning actress Buckley has assisted aspiring artists, educators and experienced performers in the craft of singing, acting and storytelling, culminating in this concert.
Tony-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown, recently represented on Broadway with the new musical The Bridges of Madison County, was a guest lecturer at Buckley’s Workshop. His music will be featured in Story Songs IV, which includes songs from classic and contemporary Broadway shows.
Featured performers include Kristi Dodge, Caroline Dubberly, Kate Dunn, Marjorie Hayes, Tamara Hayes, Terri Lynn Kavanaugh, Zane Lynch, Michael McCalip, Lara Notarianni, Jeni Roller and Michael Salvador. Musical director and pianist is Aimee Bozarth.
A portion of the proceeds of the concert will benefit the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
