The Midtown Men, which comprises four stars from the original Broadway cast of the Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys, perform in concert May 28 at 6 PM at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
A benefit for NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, the evening will be filmed for public television.
The 90-minute show, recorded in high-definition, will subsequently be offered to PBS stations nationwide. The concert special will air in the New York metropolitan area starting in December.
“The Midtown Men are a perfect match for public television,” said NJTV general manager John Servidio in an earlier statement. “We’re excited to give their performance a life beyond the NJTV Benefit to entertain audiences across the country.”
The video will be directed by Pierre and François Lamoureux.
Known for their lively versions of the greatest pop songs of the '60s, they have performed over 300 concerts across the continent. The group is currently on its fourth national tour, which features 26 major symphony performances.
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
