Allison Case, Adam Chanler-Berat and Patti Murin star in the new musical Fly By Night, a dark comedy rock fable, that began previews May 16 at Playwrights Horizons prior to an official opening at the Off-Broadway venue June 11.
Directed by Carolyn Cantor, the cast features Allison Case (Hair, Hands on a Hardbody), Adam Chanler-Berat (Peter and the Starcatcher, Next to Normal), Tony Award nominee and Obie Award winner Peter Friedman(The Great God Pan, Ragtime), Michael McCormick (Elf, Curtains), Patti Murin (Xanadu, Love's Labour's Lost), Drama Desk Award nominee Bryce Ryness (Hair, First Date) and Obie Award winner Henry Stram (Inherit the Wind, The Crucible).
Here's how the production is billed: "In this darkly comic rock-fable, a melancholy sandwich maker's (Chanler-Berat) hum-drum life is intersected by two entrancing sisters (Case and Murin). A sweeping ode to young love set against the backdrop of the northeast blackout of 1965, Fly By Night is a tale about making your way and discovering hope in a world beset by darkness."
You're invited to spend an evening filled with personal tales of difficult choices, bad breaks, worse men and some of the most glorious songs ever written. It's an intimate evening, up close with a legend.
So pull up a chair and order up a drink. Because she's got a life to sing. Tickets as low as $85!
